Pierce BrosnanAn actor and a producer, Pierce Brosnan is known for his James bond movies, GoldenEye, Tomorrow Never Dies, World Is Not Enough and Die Another Day. He is an Irish actor born in Drogheda, County Louth, Ireland.
He started his career began by making small appearances in films such as Mirror Crack'd and Long Good Friday. He featured in popular television miniseries Manions of America and romantic detective series Remington Steele that shot him to over-night fame in America. ADVERTISEMENT  Brosnan signed a four-film contract and appeared as the James Bond for the first time in GoldenEye in 1995, which received critical, appraise. It had the highest gross earner of any film in 1995. Brosnan came back in 1997 with Tomorrow Never Dies and in 1999 with The World Is Not Enough. Brosnan appeared in his last bond film Die Another Day in 2002. In 2005, he confirmed and posted on his Website that he was finished with the role of James Bond. Daniel Craig was signed for the role in October 14, 2005. Pierce Brosnan married Australian actress Cassandra Harris in 1977 and adopted her two children after their father died in 1996. Harris and Brosnan had a son together and in 1991, Harris died of ovarian cancer. Later in 2001, Brosnan married journalist Keely Shaye Smith. Brosnan was awarded an honorary OBE for his 'Outstanding contribution to the British film industry' in 2003. Brosnan's upcoming projects include Butterfly on a Wheel and Married Life.
