Kidman actively participates in a number of Charitable cause. She is UNICEF goodwill ambassador to help raise money for Australia's underpreviledged children. She was honoured with the title "Citizen of the World" by the United Nations in the year 2004. She also received the Order of Australia, the highest civilian honor in Australia for her contribution in performing arts as well charity. She is also a nominated goodwill ambassador for UNIFEM.
