Hollywood SignThe Hollywood Sign originally read as HOLLYWOODLAND and was used for the purpose of advertising a new housing development in the hills above the hollywood dicstrict of Los Angeles. The usage of the sign is only permissible by the Hollywood Chamber of Commerce.
The sign is located on the south of Mount Lee of the Griffith Park. ADVERTISEMENT  It provides a good view of the sign andc can be reached by driving north up Gower Street from Hollywood Boulevard and north along Beachwood drive. The sign has been used in several films amd television programs till date. Many towns and cities across the globe have made their own signs that copy the Hollywood sign.
